The Classical Ballet Theatre of Northern Virginia performs this perennial holiday favorite with a beautiful production that includes all the costumes, scenery, and magic to bring Clara’s dream to life. Choreography by Nell Hacker and Alisher Saburov.
Join Clara on her magical journey with her Nutcracker Prince to the Kingdom of Sweets, where she is greeted by the majestic Snow Queen, the whimsical Mother Ginger, the exquisite Sugar Plum Fairy, and other enchanted dancing characters in the Kingdom—all after a fun and mischief-filled holiday party with her family and an epic battle between the Mouse King and the Nutcracker after everyone goes to bed.
Our festive production is a local favorite of many and we have sold-out performances every year. Remember to purchase your tickets early for the best seats available!
Refreshments and holiday souvenirs and gifts will be available before and after the show and during intermission. Join us for this wonderful holiday tradition!
The Nutcracker is performed in the Ernst Community Cultural Center Theatre at the
NVCC Annandale Campus. Run time is approximately two hours including a 20-minute intermission.
Help Us Give Back to Our Community
This year, the Classical Ballet Theatre will once again be collecting non-perishable food donations in conjunction with our Nutcracker performances over the Thanksgiving weekend. Donations will be given to LINK, which provides emergency food to area residents year-round and also holds two huge food distribution programs during the holidays. The items you donate will help to restock food after their first program—Thanksgiving, during which LINK expects to provide food to hundreds of families.
Please donate generously as every little bit will help to improve the lives of many in our community.
For more information on LINK, please visit: http://www.linkagainsthunger.org. Thank you for taking the time to donate to this worthy cause.
