Alisher Saburov–Ballet Master
Alisher
Saburov was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and trained at the
Bolshoi Ballet
Academy in Moscow from 1981 - 1989. He has performed with the
Moscow Festival
Ballet and the Kremlin Ballet. Upon his
arrival in the United States
in 2003, he performed with the Manassas Ballet Company.
Mr. Saburov has performed such roles as Mercutio in "Romeo and Juliet," the Dancing Master in "Cinderella," the Golden Idol in "La Bayadere," Napoleon in "Napoleon," the Jester in "Swan Lake," and many more. In 2003, he began his teaching career at the Manassas School of Ballet and other area schools. After joining the Classical Ballet Academy faculty in 2006, Mr. Saburov became the Classical Ballet Theatre’s Ballet Master in 2007. He teaches ballet technique, pointe, pas de deux and character.
Mr. Saburov holds classical repertory and other master workshops at CBT studios in Herndon and is currently staging his original ballet, Tom Sawyer, with Classical Ballet Theatre. Mr. Saburov’s workshops are open to all dancers with requisite training.
